Movies Under the Stars and Buona Festa!


Bouna Festa! It’s time for the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Festival

HAMMONTON – The 146 annual Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Festival will be held from July 15 to 20.

The carnival opens at 6 p.m. each night. The food stand will be open from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. weekdays and beginning at 5 p.m. each night.

This year’s festival will feature plenty of Italian food, beer garden, entertainment, rides, games and more.

Feast Day, July 16, activities include Mass, a procession of saints from Third and French streets through Hammonton begins at 4 p.m., and a fireworks display at 10 p.m.

Admission to the carnival grounds at 1 Mt. Carmel Lane is free.

A free shuttle, which is handicap accessible, will be available from 6 to 11 p.m. nightly from the Hammonton Middle School at 75 N. Liberty St.

CRDA presents ‘Movies Under the Stars’

ATLANTIC CITY – “Movies Under the Stars” is back by popular demand this summer.

Courtesy of the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, top box office hits will be presented for free, two nights per week through Aug. 29 at two locations.

“A Dog’s Purpose,” the original “Karate Kid,” “Scoob!,” “Croods 2: A New Age,” “Trolls World Tour,” the original “Jumanji,” “Abominable” and “Raya and the Last Dragon” are among the movies scheduled to be shown. The movies, which are rated for family viewing, begin at dusk.
